Size does NOT matter, dammit!

I'm sitting with friends, watching a show called The World's Sexiest Voluptuous Vixens. Well, not watching, really. Silently barfing over is more like it.

For the past 35 minutes, I have heard the most ridiculous statements, examples of which follow.

Exhibit A: Salma Hayek shows us that big things can come in small packages. (Ummm, okay?!?)
Exhibit B: She is so full of meat, she is such a woman. (WHAT?! My skinny self doesn't qualify as a -  *gasp* - a woman?!?)
Exhibit C: Kim Kardashian says her curves make her what she is.

I don't even know what to say to that last one but you get the drift.

All I can think of right now is how this must be affecting the millions of teenage girls who might watch this one hour of absolute BS and think they need to be a certain size to be accepted. And of course, the millions of young boys who might be watching this, and how this is a starting point for the many inadvertent atrocious judgments they will pass on women for the rest of their lives.

The angrier I get, the more my friends tell me to calm down.

"It's okay, man. This shit happens all the time," they say.

I know it happens all the time. But that doesn't make it okay.

14 people had something to say:

Maybe Salma does but no way Kim's are real.

Oh er... Ooops. Sorry.

I do of course get your point and agree with you totally. Just remind me to ogle at Kim's pics when I get home tonight. Doesn't look right to do it from work you know.

To think they'd take the effort to use an alliteration for something like this! Voluptuous vixens!?! :D

But it's indeed a travesty.A sad truth coz even Chandler 'ADORABLE' Bing went bonkers about 'the size'!

It's high time we stopped quantifying beauty!

Ok Good bye world, Puneet's going to kill me now!

@ Dark Side: I know what you mean. It's amazing how badly bombarded we are. Sometimes, I am amazed I don't have serious insecurity issues.

@ Netika: Kya? Samajh nahin aaya!

@ AJ: Tell me what your definition of "hot" is. And why it is that.

@ Sir Ramit: Please step into my cabin. We need to talk. :|

When you tag someone, the someone has to oblige to the instructions of the tag(assuming he/she wants to, i.e ;))..

Most of the times, a tag asks you to say something about you as a person.. Like say, I tagged you on my blog.. and the this tag asks you about mention 7 things about yourself that noone knows.. and then, you need to tag 7 other people.. This goes on and on.. And this gives a chance to people on the virtual web to know about you(again, assuming you want them to)..

You don't necessarily have to oblige with this tag.. You can simply ignore it, too..

It could be just anything.. I think something like this exists on FB also.. I am not sure, though.. You can visit my blog or Ramit's blog and see our tags for better understanding (why am I making it sound as if understanding this tag is essential for your survival- I DON'T KNOW !! :D)
Cheers!

you know Im the happiest while im running on the treadmill and also when im eating doughnuts! But just an hour back I told a friend that I have a habit of relating everything to what I eat and my weight. Fortunately, I also am a brand ambassador of the phrase
"Men love meat and dogs love bones"
So, yeah. Size matters. ALOT!
Also, hotness is how the other person makes you feel. Ughh I cant believe Im saying this billo, but the ugliest of the people have someone in life who find them "hawt"
Plus. Plus. Plus. You are Size 0!
you shouldn't care, thats the safest a woman can be baby. Plus you are hot too! And I hate this BS these firangi channels do, not to sound jingoistic but believe me, we Indians are much more acceptable to any and every body frame size et al! Its those "channels" which telecast those "people". *shrug*
Ok.

'Size' can always be a reason, but somehow I just can't picture it, ever being THE reason behind universal sex appeal. Most people don’t objectively evaluate women based on such parameters, and the ones that do, don’t deserve them anyway.

I mean, non-Voluptuous Vixens can also be breathtakingly beautiful. Two words- Keira Knightly.

@ Netika: Haan, I know what tagging means. Just got a little confused. Will check it out now :)

@ Shivani: Baby, the last time you saw me was two years ago. Size 0 then? Perhaps. Right now? Errr, no :P And yes, it makes me want to lose weight, but more because I feel unhealthy.

@ Rahul: That's what I'm talking about! :)

your desperation, frustration and helplessness is blatant in this post. you better accept that size does matter, because even if you try to downplay or ignore it, the fact remains that ladies with larger assets are not only in higher demand than ones with smaller 'size', they are also generally looked upon as more attractive and hotter. this part is an intrinsic part of a female body, and it does add to the overall beauty of a female - irrespective of how you think about it. your personal issues about this fact will not change the status quo. period.
